  Accelerated pavement test machine
The machine evaluates durability of pavements, etc., in a short period of time, by artificially simulating traffic and environmental conditions.		 Accelerated loading test machine （Fuji-shi, Shizuoka pref.）
A full-size slab can be loaded on the machine to test durability by moving wheels back and forth. The accelerated-damage test will show 50 years of damage in one-month testing.		  

   
  Accelerated corrosion facilities
Accelerated-corrosion facilities are used for analyzing and evaluating corrosion conditions and anticorrosive functions by conducting accelerated-corrosion tests on metal materials used in road structures and facilities.		 Skid resistance measuring vehicle with FWD mounted
The vehicle measures road skid-resistance when travelling at 80km/h on expressways and deflection of the layered pavement structure, using FWD.		 Traffic noise laboratory
The room is used to determine the influence of traffic noise through model testing of special road structures.		  

   
  Greening Technology Center (Konan-shi, Shiga pref.)
The Greening Technology Center grows indigenous plant species and protects and nurtures precious plant species in order to maintain biodiversity and thus protect the environment. The center also conducts studies to improve technology for reducing the workload of landscape maintenance. The plants produced here are used for landscaping the expressway periphery.
